Steven LaMorte is an award-winning Writer, Director, and Producer known for turning beloved characters into blood-soaked nightmares with a twisted sense of humor. He's the creator of the viral horror-comedy "Screamboat" (2025), a gory re-imagining of Steamboat Willie starring David Howard Thornton (Art The Clown in the "Terrifier" Franchise) as a deranged version of Mickey Mouse. Steven also slashed his way into cult status with "The Mean One," an unhinged & very unofficial parody of How The Grinch Stole Christmas that became a theatrical and global fan favorite. After earning worldwide theatrical success and solidifying its cult appeal, Screamboat won the Fangoria Chainsaw Award for Best Public Domain Resurrection, followed by the announcement of the sequel "Screamboat 2: Nothing Stays Dead." From killer cartoons to holiday horrors, Steven's films deliver genre mayhem with laughs, heart, and a whole lot of blood. Steven is a proud Italian-American from Staten Island, New York.
