Actor, Director
Suzanna Rose is a New York-based actress, writer, and emerging filmmaker with a foundation in musical theatre, screenwriting, and independent production. To gain confidence in front of the camera, she transitioned from the stage into modeling, which soon led to commercial/print work and film auditions. She studied Playwriting and Screenwriting at SUNY Purchase College, graduating a year early and receiving the department's Outstanding Student Award. While completing her degree, she trained independently in acting and singing, blending performance and authorship from the start of her career. On screen, Suzanna appears in 'The Girl Who Cried Her Eyes Out' (2024), 'Hindrance' (2023), and the short 'Bomb Threat' (2021). Her performance in Hindrance earned her a "Best Female Performance" nomination during its festival run, with a review notating "the standout actor is Suzanna; each scene being so raw and expressive was very interesting to watch." She has also worked as a production assistant on major projects including Netflix's 'The Watcher' (2022) and the feature thriller 'Fire Island' (2023). As a writer, Suzanna created, starred in, and co-produced the six-episode web series 'Rekindling' (2023), which received recognition at multiple festivals for its intimate, nontraditional storytelling. One festival noted the series premise as "engaging as it is ultimately relatable. In addition to this, the non-linear structure is truly where this script shines! The pacing and ability to jump between scenes, intercut dialogue and keep the story moving is very impressive." This project marked Suzanna's transition into content development and collaboration, sparking her exploration of directing and editing. With a history of expanding her skillset across multiple departments, Suzanna continues to work in independent projects and is developing original feature-length material.
