Tadgh Snodgrass

Actor

Tadgh Snodgrass is an Irish actor. He was born in Dublin to an Irish mother and an American father. Tadgh spent his formative years moving back and forth between Dublin and New York City, before finally settling in Dublin towards the end of his childhood. Tadgh found interest in performing during his early teenage years with the Gaiety School of Acting in Dublin being the place where he would begin to step on the stage and in front of the camera. He spent his weekends taking classes there, along with writing and performing his own music with different bands, and taking part in school plays and musicals. His first theatre credit came from this time of his life with a short run of the musical "Universe of Song" (2016) at the Axis Theatre. Tadgh went on to study Drama and Theatre at Dublin's prestigious Trinity College, where he took to the stage in a plethora of different roles. It was here that he also began experimenting with sound design and music composition for theatre and film, something which still interests him. He also began his journey here as a writer and director, co-creating the play "What We Have We Hold" with collaborator and friend Patrick O'Leary. Along with his studies in Trinity, Tadgh was taking classical singing lessons from his long-time teacher Lynda Lee and the Royal Irish Academy of Music, winning a few competitions and awards in his time of study and stepping on the stage of the Blackwater Valley Opera Festival as a chorus member in "Don Pasquale" (2019). Tadgh's professional theatre debut as an adult was in Billy Roche's "On Such As We," (2023) at the Jerome Hynes Theatre in the National Opera House, Wexford. It was directed by Andrew Flynn and produced by Decadent Theatre Company. He played the role of Matt. Tadgh then appeared in ITV's television series "Breathtaking" (2024) for one episode where he played a Junior Doctor. Tadgh has just finished shooting the new feature film "Sunphlowers," written and directed by Dave Byrne. Tadgh writes and releases music under the pseudonym Tadgh Billy King.
