Tarik Lowe

Tarik Lowe is an actor and writer, known for Whiplash (2014), Major Crimes (2016) Outsiders (2015) and Supporting Characters (2012). Born in Hackensack, New Jersey. In 1999, at the age of 14, Tarik was cast in the film Music of the Heart, starring Meryl Streep. The following year, he made his television debut on Law and Order, acting in compelling scenes with both Jerry Orbach and Jesse Martin. Since making his TV and film debuts, Tarik continued to stay busy, appearing more than 30 national commercials as well as becoming the voice of some of the most popular brands in the world. Gillette, Sprite, Coca-Cola to name a few. In 2004 he was cast in a heavily recurring role on One Life to Live, as the ultra preppy business student, Hudson Prescott. He co-wrote and starred in Supporting Characters which made its premier at Tribeca Film festival in 2012. All four showings there were sold out. In 2016 he simultaneously recurred on Major Crimes (TNT) where he played Reverend Daniel Price in a controversial role about an ex cop killer turned minister as well as James on Outsiders (WGN) where he played a down and out ex coal miner in a vicious feud against an outsider, fighting for the love of his sister. He was then cast as Eric Vance in another recurring role on Blindspot (NBC). Where he played an ex military sergeant, who performed violent acts to save the life of his cancer ridden husband. He's also been casted in Blue Bloods (CBS), Donny (TBS), Forever (ABC) and a number of Films including The Inevitable defeat of Mister & Pete, Ava's Possessions, Little Paradise, No Beast So Fierce, 40, Pimp and the Academy Award winning Whiplash. The range of his roles and the depth to which he is willing to get lost inside of his characters makes Tarik Lowe a very interesting actor to watch and there is no doubt that we'll be seeing a lot more of what he has, in the time to come.
