Tom Downing

Tom Downing is an Irish-American television and film actor and comedian. His appearances include Amazon's Emmy-winning The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Chicago PD (NBC), Shameless (Showtime), and BULL (CBS) along with dozens of films. Awards include Best Actor (ARFF), Rising Star Award (Canada International Film Festival), and Actor of the Year (TAFF) among others. His films have won 24 Best Film Awards (Tribeca, Sydney Indie Film Festival) distributed globally through Gravitas Ventures, Time-Warner, Sony, Kino Lorber, and various major streaming platforms. While in New York, Tom was a pupil of renowned acting teachers Bob Krakower and Ted Sluberski. He is a graduate of the world famous The Second City Conservatory and The iO Theatre in Chicago where he studied and performed improv, stand-up, and sketch comedy for years. Tom studied the Meisner approach at Artistic Home under Kathy Scambiatterra and is a graduate of Purdue University where he was named the first recipient of their Outstanding Alumni in Film. Tom is the founder and Executive of XO Productions, where he produces independent films, commercials, new media content, and is the host of their weekly industry-centered podcast Before The Break (iHeart). Tom lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Natasha Coppola-Shalom, and two children Rowan and Lilybella.
