Studied Peking Opera at Hebei Vocational Art College (formerly Hebei Art Academy) where he graduated in 1986. Served as Deputy Director of the Director and Editor Office of the Baoding Regional Art Troupe from 1986 to 1988. Studied at Beijing Film Academy where he graduated with Bachelor degree in Film Arts in 1992. Speaks Mandarin and English. Member of the Film Director's Guild of China Member of the Chinese Acting Artist Association Member of the China Television Artist Association
