Carer June's life collapses when she becomes the victim of a cold call losing all the money from her house sale. She reconnects with Des, an old flame, who claims he can get her money back from the person responsible

Des proposes that June break into Kirk's office to find proof and also agrees to plant a dementia tracker on Kirk so Des can follow him. Des uses information to blackmail Kirk and warns June she is in danger.

Kirk agrees to Des's demands but tracks the money. Aubrey finds the blackmailer; Des and follows him to June’s daughter, Hana. June keeps her cover at Wiley’s and befriends Kirk's wife Laura in order to manipulate Kirk's home life.

June hides Elisabeth at her old care home and tries to convince Hana to run. She begs Des to help but realizes he has his own agenda.
