After the fight with Mendoza, things have finally come to an end. Leon and Alfonso must both adapt to the best of their ability. Both young men are left to pick up the pieces from the smoldering ashes of battle. Yet, some embers remain hot...

Prince Alfonso has his work cut out for him. He is preparing to be king, rebuilding his kingdom, and hunting down Horrors at the same time. Realizing that this will be the rest of his life, he takes a small break from his Princely duties for the day.

Inspired by the Knight of Light, a brave group of craftsmen set out to make their own set of armor. Their hope is to create something that could aid the people and the Knight of Light. They continue putting their skills and honor to the test.

There is a traveling doctor who goes from town to town to help the sick and injured. No one has ever seen the face behind his bird mask, but everyone respects him. Amongst the string of disappearances, he has opened up his clinic in Santa Bard...

Winter is fast approaching. While León helps Lara and her family prepare for the coming cold, Prince Alfonso comes to visit the little village to investigate an ominous rumor. The two meet and Alfonso sees a change in the vengeful León he once knew.

As León slowly buries the body of the girl he treasured, his flame appears before him once again. Power. León knows he needs the power to fight against the Horrors once again, but Alfonso is worried that León is fueled through revenge.

Taken by surprise, Alfonso and León go to ask the Watchdog Center about Germán's actions. There, they learn another piece of unnerving news. Ema has finally found the Horror that she has searched for all this time. And she plans to die defeating it.

Mendoza is alive and hiding within the castle walls. His faithful servant, Octavia, watches as the Prince and the others begin their search for him. She moves to protect Mendoza while keeping her true identity hidden by using the new maid, Laura...

Germán appears before León and the others once again, telling them to stop their search. León learns why the Watchdog Center has decided to help Mendoza. Valiante must be sacrificed for the better good. Still, he raises his blade and fights.

Jiruba tells León about Germán's true goal of destroying Anima before it completely revives. As León and the others push their way down to Mendoza's lair, Germán holds off the masses of Horrors that try to close up the path he worked so hard to open.

Everyone fights for their own reasons and wishes. Now allies and enemies throw themselves against one another in battle. Anima's revival must be stopped and Garm must be held at bay. Everything looks grim and doom is upon them, but still they fight.

What is immortality? What is eternity? Now, as one who protects, León must fight Anima and Mendoza to protect the people of Santa Bard. He no longer fights alone, but with all the hopes and desires of the Makai Knights and Alchemists before him.
