Bola realises that Chichi's memory lapse could work in his favour to unseat Jacob from Abayomi. Andile discovers that Ntombi is beginning to develop feelings for him.

Jacob is outraged when he discovers Prospero's enriched uranium debacle. Andile gets a lead on who might have compromised the ransom exchange, he also finds himself the centre of both Ntombi and Lisa's affections. Jacob is disturbed when he learns of Bola and Chichi's alliance but he gets the shock of his life when Chichi brings him before the family with an audacious accusation.

Chichi's accusation against Jacob is backed up by a surprising source. Prospero takes his relationship with the sultry Dr. Jones to the next level and Thembi is distressed to hear of Ntombi's affection for Andile.

Bola savours in his finally achieved dream as CEO of Abayomi as Jacob battles to keep his shares in the power plant. Paul smells blood and makes a move to acquire Jacob's interest in the power plant. Jacob finds out that he is on a collision course with Kau and his life long friend, Prospero.

Prospero is in deep trouble when news of the missing uranium leads the front page of newspapers .Lisa strikes up a friendship with a little girl who will become an important lead to the missing Uranium while Prospero realises that it may be up to Sam Jones to save him. Zanele clashes with Jacob over Isaac and the police make a shocking discovery that will spell trouble for the Makhubu's.

Thembi and Andile are questioned by the police, while Ntombi struggles to reconcile her feelings for her estranged but now dead father. Paul makes a move to exploit the breakdown in Zanele and Jacob's relationship. Fagments of Chichi's memory begin to return while Andile's guilty conscience propels him towards confessing to Mzukizi's murder.

Ntombi is distraught when Andile admits to killing her father. Andile is determined not to let his mother take the fall for him and Jacob battles to keep things in perspective with the help of Mbali's legal council. Dafe informs Folake of an outbreak of a mysterious disease in the Delta and Bola hurries to hide his complicity.

While Jacob tries to keep his mother out of jail, Folake realizes she is alone against an increasingly menacing Bola whom Chichi is trying to break free from. Andile is determined to set the records straight once and for all at Thembi's trial but an unexpected witness appears and the tables turn. Paul is furious with Rufus for being careless with the EU.

Chichi fears the worst when Folake's health begins to fail. Thembi's acquittal celebration turns sour when Andile states his dismay at his family celebrating lies and deception. A bitter Zanele infuriates Jacob by denying him access to his son. Bola launches his final attack on Folake with fatal consequences.

Lisa fights for her life while Jacob, fuelled by pain and guilt over Folake's death is determined to bring Bola to justice and unleashes all his resources. Bola flees and Jacob resumes his place as the head of the Abayomi's. With the help of Dr. Jones, Prospero makes the connection between Nozipho's sickness and the missing EU.
