Released from prison but still monitored, Philippe Rickwaert tries to convince socialist candidate Amélie Dorendeu to form an alliance with Michel Vidal, leader of the radical party. But things don’t go according to plan and his plan backfires.

After reuniting with his former fiefdom, Dunkirk, Philippe tries to sow discord in his successor’s legislative campaign in order to plan his comeback. Meanwhile, Amélie turns the tables and Philippe looks for a way to take advantage.

While Amelie faces the fragility of her parliamentary majority, Rickwaert decides to get involved with Cyril on the issue of secularism in the suburbs.

The parliamentary crisis reaches a new peak and Amélie is more weakened than ever. Philippe sees the opportunity to persuade her to try the Left Alliance, but a national threat hardens her resolve, threatening her relationship with Philippe.
