PC Smith and his Malinois, Kelly are called to a late night break in at a South London pet shop and find themselves being given the run around at Biggin Hill airfield. While the Metropolitan Police helicopter, call sign India 99, circles with its thermal imaging camera, Smith and Kelly corner two thieves and make the arrest.

Greater Manchester Police's 55-strong dog squad faces a demanding time, as they deal with a siege involving a man with a knife, who is threatening to kill his family, and thousands of soccer fans who want to take on the dogs who fought a pitched battle with Scottish and Russian fans during the 2008 UEFA Cup Final.

London's dog squad is back in action, after armed raiders, vandals and drug dealers who are targeting nightclubs. "D" Shift skipper, Sergeant Pete Madden, is sent in to a North London nature reserve to look for two armed gunmen who pistol-whipped a shopkeeper. Madden and his three-year-old German Shepherd, Brodie, are accompanied by three armed police officers as they track the runaway robbers.

PC Gareth Greaves and his four-year-old German Shepherd, Riley, are on routine patrol in Manchester when he comes across a young lad and a bunch of pink suitcases outside a discount store. Two other youngsters inside the store run for it when PC Greaves investigates and Riley gives chase. The offenders run into the arms of other officers.

When PC Kevin Tozer and his four-year-old German Shepherd, Floyd, is sent to help with a raid on a house which the police think is being used as a cannabis factory, his bosses give him back-up, in case the drug dealers make a fight of it. The dog team they send is PC Tozer's father, John, and his German Shepherd, Charlie.

PC John Lane and his spaniel, Paddy, join an early morning raid to search for drugs. Paddy's nose leads them to a child's bedroom where Class A narcotics are found. PC Derek Beattie and his rookie sniffer spaniel, Billy, are also searching for drugs, when Billy finds something they weren't bargaining for - live ammunition.
