Finding Joy

Routine-loving Joy is having a tough time after a messy breakup with her live-in boyfriend, Aidan. Then an opportunity at work shakes up her life even more when she replaces the news company’s star vlogger, the Happiness Hunter.

Having survived her first segment, Joy is assigned to participate in a wrestling match, but she struggles to find a partner to accompany her. Meanwhile, Joy interviews candidates for a new housemate, aided by her best friend, Trish.

Still feeling lonely, Joy attends a spiritual wellness retreat called the Happy Place, where she is forced to leave behind her literal and figurative baggage.

The morning after a one-night stand, Joy doesn’t feel ready to start dating again. After interviewing couples about their relationships for the vlog, Joy plans a double date with her housemate, Amelia.

Joy has a new outlook on life and is finally enjoying her job, but then she blows off Trish. For her next assignment, she takes a hot yoga class, also attended by Aidan’s new girlfriend.

Joy is at a breaking point: her yoga meltdown is all over social media, Aidan is gone, and Amelia has left for Bali. To further complicate matters, Trish goes into labor the day of the news awards show.
