Everybody Hates Chris

Chris and his family move to Bed-Stuy and Chris attends a predominantly white middle school where he meets his new friend, Greg and ends up in the crosshairs of the school bully, Joey Caruso.

Chris has a crush on Keisha, the girl next door, and Julius finds himself in an uncomfortable position when he suddenly becomes attracted to Keisha's mom, Sheila.

The school basketball coach recruits Chris for the basketball team, but there's one problem: he doesn't know how to play. Meanwhile, Rochelle has her suspicions about a new tenant.

Julius buys a big crate of sausage and makes everyone eat it with every meal. At school, Chris is sentenced to 3 days of detention after a rumor goes round about him beating up the school bully, Joey.

Despite his parents' warnings, Chris lends his bike to a kid who disappears with it. While Julius is on strike, he proves to be a better housekeeper than Rochelle which makes her very angry.

Chris's mother insists he take his younger siblings out trick-or-treating, which jeopardizes his own plans.

Rochelle and Julius hire a sitter to look after Chris, Drew, and Tonya while they go out for the night, but disasters occur both at home and at the restaurant.

Chris must endure a Saturday at the local Laundromat with Drew and Tonya in tow, but he finds his patience tested by both the competitive patrons and his siblings. Julius and Rochelle go shopping for a new color television.

Julius finds $200 in food stamps, but Rochelle is embarrassed to be seen using them. Chris and Greg have a falling-out over a school science project.

Tonya keeps getting Chris into trouble and Chris is sick of it, so he decides to hang out at Greg's house without permission from either of their parents.

Julius and Rochelle must tell Chris that they can't afford to buy him the new Walkman cassette player that he wants for Christmas. Meanwhile, Drew spills the beans on Santa Claus to Tonya.

Chris earns the value of a dollar when he goes to work with his dad to earn the money to buy his own leather jacket. Meanwhile, Tonya and Drew engage in a nasty, escalating game of "I Dare You".

Chris gets a new outfit for school picture day, but Caruso ends up stealing it. Drew hides Tonya’s shoe when she breaks his toy. Rochelle sells make-up at home to make some extra money.

Chris gets a bunch of "I hate you" cards from Caruso and gets a crush on a girl named Tangee on his bus ride. Tonya reveals that she has a boyfriend which surprises Julius, and Drew gets a bunch of Valentines' cards from a lot of girls.

Another player challenges Chris's status as the self-proclaimed Asteroids champion at the neighborhood store.

Chris gets an "F" on his report card and tries to figure out a way to change his grade before his parents find out. When Julius is sick with the gout, he starts watching The Young and the Restless.

When Rochelle's dad, Gene, unexpectedly dies during a family dinner, Rochelle starts acting less than normal and Chris is shocked to see his mother not acting like herself.

Fed up with getting a daily butt kicking from his classmates, Chris tries to get himself expelled from Corleone so that his parents let him attend the local middle school. Meanwhile, Julius’ new job stinks the family out of the house.

Hoping that he can finally excel at something and outperform Drew, Chris convinces his parents to enroll him in karate lessons. Meanwhile, Tonya gets a lesson in gossiping at the hair salon.

Chris finds his father’s Playboy Magazine and brings it to school, but Caruso steals it and then the school principal confiscates it. Meanwhile, Julius finds out Rochelle is hiding money from him, and Tonya learns of Drew’s phobia.

Chris tries to sell cookies for his class trip to Washington DC, but he ends up in jail for saying the cookies were stolen. Julius and Rochelle’s plans to see "Dreamgirls" are thwarted when Drew and Tonya come down with the chicken pox.

Chris is determined to find the perfect gift for his father, but all that Julius really wants for Father’s Day is to spend the day alone.
