Remington Steele

With five passports, Remington has become a marked man in the grisly murders that are terrorizing London, but with Laura's help, he is determined to uncover his real name and heritage, the key to which appears linked to the Earl of Claridge.

Thanks to Felicia and Chalmers, a group of disgruntled miners (the Earl's former employees) think Remington is a hired assassin. It's all Chalmer's scam to reap a royal amount of jewels by having Remington pose as the would-be killer at the wedding. While the miners keep the trio secluded at a compound in the country, Laura finds the targeted Earl may be Remington's long-lost father.

When the unscrupulous Veenhof is stalked by two phony FBI agents, he turns to Laura for help. The plot thickens when a man who breaks into his studio and demands his negative files turns out to be a state senatorial candidate.

Suspects with obvious motives include: Crunch's irate ex-wife who holds a million dollar life insurance policy on him; his challenger, Dangerous Darryl; the manager of actress Whitney, his girlfriend; and Todd Myerson...

Remington's night out with a rich, beautiful client is one big blur when he wakes up alone in an unfamiliar hotel room two days later. He arrives at work to find crass Harry Cranston redecorating and moving into his office...

Once there, they get caught between the small farmer and big agribusiness, and against the bank that foreclosed on a slew of small farms; they also find that their business with Agritech (which has been buying up the farms) makes them rather unpopular. Agritech figures an angry farmer stole the swine as revenge, and the murder of bank president Frank Willard complicates matters.

Shane turns up at the agency, his own obituary in hand. The mortuary that provided his death certificate to the newspaper closed down two years earlier but someone is intent on creating the impression that Lester is dead. Furthermore, the list of false obituaries placed by Weil Mortuary keeps growing.

Since the culprit is probably among the crew, Laura becomes an insider privy to the taboo romance between fellow flight attendant Wanda Milner and passenger Barry Holden, while fending off the advances of jet-jack Biff Lewis.

Yuletide merrymaking lingers, but as the eggnog and the celebrants dwindle at the Christmas open house, Mildred wonders why her hired Santa Claus is a no-show. Finally, a surly St. Nick, calling himself Dancer and toting a revolver behind his knapsack, arrives with his accomplices Prancer and Donner.

As Laura and Remington investigate the murder of a radio station's eye-in-the-sky traffic reporter, a pair of popular disk jockeys emerge as prime suspects.

Clues lead to a San Diego office that is an exact duplicate of the Steele offices in Los Angeles. Mildred is first to discover that Mulch is selling franchises of the agency, thanks to her loosely interpreted permission. Unintentionally, Mulch has thereby place the perplexed Remington and Laura in a life-threatening situation involving two murderous factions.

Laura and Remington discover that a would-be Russian defector is trying to take Bing for a big score, and they team up with a member of "Moscow Vice" to nail the other Russian and flush out his American accomplice.

Donald is kidnapped, apparently by the mob. In addition, an IRS fraud squad asks for Mildred's help in nailing a guy for bogus business practices.

Dancer, otherwise known as Anthony Delgetti, is back and eager to silence all witnesses to his crime. Figuring the private investigators must lead the way, the life-threatening jailbird shows up first at the office and then on Laura's doorstep. Meanwhile, Laura is being showered with gifts from a secret admirer she mistakenly thinks is Remington.

Eleanor is worried about her usually sedate 70 year old dad. Suddenly one day he's gambling thousands of dollars under an assumed name (and folding winning hands) and the next day he's speeding a flashy sports car down side streets.

Laura decides the sensitivity encounter is the impetus they need to seriously discuss their rocky relationship. Remington, however, feels he must first investigate a long list of suspects, including a disillusioned Primal Shriek therapist.

As an attractive female private eye, Laura becomes the focal point for reporter Windsor Thomas on "L.A. Spotlight" and relishes the attention, while a jealous Remington plays second fiddle...

"Who killed the butler?" is the quirky mystery Remington and Laura are hired to solve by servants of the wealthy Wellingtons, a filthy-rich family hiding deep, dark secrets.

Laura's registration packet is surreptitiously switched with that of Joan Grey at the triathlon. Wearing the wrong number, she is snatched by two hoods and brought to Alan Kendall, who expected Joan and has Laura unceremoniously tossed into the bushes. In pursuit of the mystery woman (an aerobics instructor with several aliases), Remington and Laura test their athletic and investigative prowess.

Coming home from an out-of-town trip, the stunned detectives find their apartments padlocked and cordoned off with police banners. Newscast reports say they were shot gunned to death in Steele's apartment...

Laura and Remington accept poor Vinnie's case and prepare to investigate the wife of exercise guru Lance Le Blanc, the original victim of the kidnapping and subsequent murder. Before they even begin, Detective Zweigenhoff demands they turn Dowd in to the police. Not only that, but Vinnie's friend Frank (who can vouch for his whereabouts on the night of the murder) is also mysteriously murdered.

Laura and Remington are hired by secretary Alessandra Henry to investigate the unreported murder of her boss, a Unidac executive.
