When Calls the Heart

A fresh start for Jack and Elizabeth, a surprise guest for Abigail, an adventure for Rosemary and Lee, and an unwanted visitor from Pastor Frank's past make for a busy Hope Valley in the days before the New Year's Eve celebration.

In the wake of the capture of rogue Mountie James Houston, the townsfolk prepare for the New Year's celebration. As Elizabeth and Jack come together over Rip, Frank warns Jesse, a young man from his criminal past, to leave town, Cody grows worried over his sister's declining health, and Lee bends to Rosemary's will-until he doesn't.

Elizabeth moves into a place of her own and Jack is conflicted since he's been thinking of building a house for them. Pastor Frank's past is revealed when a "Wanted" handbill bearing his likeness is posted in town.

Elizabeth, Jack, and Abigail persuade the townsfolk to retain Frank as their pastor after he's revealed to be a former bandit, and Rosemary has the mistaken notion that Lee is struggling financially and decides to help him economize to comical effect.

After Hope Valley learns redemption is possible, Abigail and Frank pursue a romance before the heart of the town is tested by the threat of a gang of outlaws. [W Network]

Elizabeth helps a new student gain acceptance; Jack helps Elizabeth write and works towards helping a young couple reunite; Frank and Abigail help some settlers; Rosemary helps Hope Valley's students by arranging a student dance; and Bill helps Lee by detecting sabotage at his mill.

Elizabeth displays her impressive teaching skills, Cody's sister Becky comes back to town, but in a wheelchair, Henry Gowen is arrested for sabotaging Lee's sawmill, Jack attempts to help a young settler couple reconcile their differences and reunite, and Rosemary is cast in a film by a famous producer who asks her if she wants to be a film star.

Elizabeth guides her students to excel at a science fair and encourages a young girl to get out of her wheelchair, Henry Gowen is exonerated from sabotaging Lee's sawmill but bears a grudge at being arrested, Jack enables a young settler couple to finally reconcile their differences and reunite, and Rosemary turns down the opportunity to star in a film and become a famous actress and accepts Le...

Jack's mother Charlotte pays Jack a surprise visit, Rosemary prepares for her wedding with Lee, Pastor Frank accelerates his courtship of Abigail, and Gowen and Nora try to leave town to get a new start only to encounter the same devastating storm that causes the Silverton mine to collapse.

The town of Hope Valley pulls together when a storm causes a mine collapse and flood, but Jack nearly dies rescuing a child during the process, so Rosemary and Lee delay their wedding so he can recover, and Elizabeth catches the bouquet at their wedding.
