It’s the summer of 1981 and Jimmy, Jill and the gang are no longer tethered to the suburbs. They’ve now got one foot in Manhattan, and it will be a magical summer full of vibrancy and excitement as they fall in love and make their dreams a reality.

Jimmy and Jill brace for an awkward reunion after not seeing one another for a year. Meanwhile, Pags looks to Tammy to help his sister’s band find a drummer for their big concert, and Stacy has issues with Jill’s new married boyfriend.

Stacy scores an audition for a Broadway show, but is hit on by the director. After his parents demand he make changes, Mikey decides to propose to Tammy. Artie’s plans of a father-son project may be in jeopardy because of Jimmy’s work opportunity.

When Jimmy introduces his family to Maya, an unexpected development upends Jimmy’s future. Meanwhile, Jill celebrates her birthday with Henry, who dazzles her with a night to remember, and Stacey gives Luke a second chance.

Pags tries to convince Tammy to join Wildfire as the band scores some interest from record labels. Jimmy gets disappointing news from Maya, while sparks fly when he sees Jill. Meanwhile, Mikey is determined to get back in the dating game.

Jimmy has an encounter with Jill, who has an interview with a major fashion designer. Pags’ jealous streak gets the best of him when Julianna gets an opportunity to work with her ex. Genie auditions a new song she hopes she to perform for Wildfire.

Jimmy and Jill are unsettled about the future, especially when Jill gets a new opportunity. Meanwhile, there's a major rift in the band, and Tammy thinks she understands the real reason for it. And Stacey lands the biggest audition of her life.
