After Jeff's snoring keeps Audrey up all night, they decide to sleep in separate bedrooms, however, Jeff takes advantage of his new found freedom by staying up too late and living like a college student, on the season 2 premiere.

When Russell finds out that Audrey's sister, Barbara, is having problems in her marriage, he takes her out — which infuriates Audrey, who is convinced he will use a sleazy trick to try and get her sister to sleep with him.

When Jeff tries to fix an issue Audrey is having with one of their neighbors by confronting it head on, he finds himself backpedaling when the situation gets worse.

Jeff teaches Audrey the meaning of guy code when he asks her to be quiet about the fact that his new friend was unfaithful to his wife, claiming that information is protected by "guy code."

When Jeff feels left out while Russell and Adam discuss their sex lives, he tries to convince Audrey to be more creative in the bedroom so he will have better stories to share with the guys.

Audrey worries that Jeff will drink too much and embarrass himself when he seizes the opportunity to skip a wedding and instead go on an "old school" night on the town with the guys.

When Barbara returns to town and announces she is divorcing her husband, Russell is convinced that she will finally be receptive to his advances.

Jeff's worst fears about match-making are realized when his candor foils Audrey and Jennifer's attempt at fixing up two of their friends.

When Adam's mother, Fay, comes to visit, Audrey warns Jennifer about the judgmental tendencies of a mother-in-law, however, it's Jennifer who discovers that she is the one who is critical of Fay and her kooky lifestyle.

Adam and Jennifer agree to go away with Jeff and Audrey even though they must sit through a timeshare sales pitch in order to get a deal on the trip. However, the weekend takes a turn when Adam and Jennifer learn the real reason they were invited.

Adam and Jennifer realize that living and working together don't always mix when he hires her to freelance for his company. Meanwhile, Jeff discovers his virility has increased after Jennifer gives Audrey and him a fertility idol.

Jeff tries to lose weight to reach "optimal male" status for his life insurance, Adam invites an ex to stay with him and Jennifer, and Russell fakes interest in a charity to hit on a sexy woman.

Adam is concerned that Russell will be upset when he discovers that his father had Adam pose as his son in a promotional video he is shooting for his company.

When Adam and Jennifer consider buying an apartment in the building they all live in, Jeff and Audrey offer to recommend them to the co-op board. However, before they get the chance, Jeff makes a bad impression on the president of the board.

Russell reluctantly agrees to allow Audrey to host a photo shoot in his pristine apartment in the hope of scoring a hot model, on the second season finale.
