Professor Balthazar

Mayor Alfred waived his rights to a salary because of the bad financial situation of his city. Therefore, he takes a job as a night watchman at the pasta factory in Balthazar Town. Due to the strenuous work, he gets sick. He asks Professor Balthazar for help.

Bim and Bum owned a small forge where they produced all kinds of holes. These holes were unusual ones and very much in demand. Bim and Bum could not stop their enthusiasm for their work and made the greatest hole of their lives. However, there's great panic when they fall into it. Professor Balthazar's inevitable invention saves them.

Balthazar Town is occupied by a gang of merciless robbers who mistreat its citizens: throw cakes in their faces and saw legs off their chairs. Professor Balthazar invents the "Syrup of Kindness". When the robbers inadvertently eat it, they turn into exemplary townspeople.

One morning Tom's father had enough of everything and decided to go fishing. So little Tom decided to replace him at work as a veterinarian in the Zoo. Tom treated all the animals that day, including Lion Mike who urgently needed ice-cream. Tom hastened to buy it, but having forgotten his things in the lion's cage, the guards think he was eaten by the lion.

At the pageant for the most beautiful decoration in the town, Professor Balthazar wins first prize with his machine that produces beautiful rainbows. However, a rain storm destroys the rainbow's colors. Now unsatisfied, Professor Balthazar remodels his machine and presents it to Woolfred the Weaver.

Inhabitants of Balthazar Town have troubles with frogs, since their croaking prevents them from sleeping. Professor Balthazar addresses this trouble ingeniously - and even more: among these frogs, Professor Balthazar discovers the musical frog, Figaro, a real virtuoso in whistling opera arias.

Silvester is an excellent tailor - he creates only masterpieces. However, when his sister, Vivian, gets a case of incessant hiccup, his whole surroundings start to shake. Silvester's profession is in danger.

Professor Balthazar is spending his winter vacation in the mountains and summer vacation at the seaside, where he is meeting his two friends Hans and Ivan. However, his vacations are active. He must invent to help his friends.

The bald inhabitants of a far-off planet discover that the people, as well as the dolls, on Earth have hair. Excited by this discovery, they set off for Earth. But stealing the wigs off their dolls provokes not only surprise but also sadness for the Earthlings.

Dryville has been without rain for five months. Daniel the Cloud, whose duty it is to supply Dryville with rain, has left on his annual vacation. All attemps to find him have been in vain. The situation is indeed dry. A delegation of citizens seek out Professor Balthazar. He tries to think of a solution to the catastrophe and comes up with a radar cloud-tracker. The hunt is on.

Because of his clumsiness, Bumple provokes the hostility of his fellow citizens, even though he does all he can to remedy his problem. In any case, he loses his job. Sad, cast off from society, he meets Professor Balthazar who helps him turn his clumsiness into an advantage.

Everyday from the bell-tower in Balthazar Town, Dingle announces the hours of the day. From the Town hall steeple, Flora announces the good weather. When Dingle, after a misunderstanding, is replaced by an automatic clock, Flora shuts herself in her house and the town is besieged by bad weather. The return of Dingle and Flora, with the aid of Professor Balthazar, brings back the sun and gaiety.

In Balthazar Town everybody liked snowmen. One year, they decided to build the biggest snowman in the world. They brought snow from the Pole and when the giant snowman was ready, he became a first class tourist attraction. However, they did not foresee the most important thing: what happens when the snow melts in the spring?
