1980: Famous model Louise reconnects with her friend and neighbour Jacinthe. In Quebec, the referendum for independence ends in defeat. Undeterred, Louise and Jacinthe decide to dream big. PRESENT: The Hébert children are in shock after discovering Clémence's dead body. Did she commit a desperate act after confessing her crime to Aidrian?

1980: While Jacinthe is in Paris studying perfumery, Louise and Aidrian become closer and draft Nocturne's business plan. They make a powerful duo, but Jacinthe isn't exactly happy about the situation when she returns. PRESENT: Aidrian thinks Clémence must have had an accomplice to kill Loulou. He warns the Héberts that they might be in danger too.

1980: Louise and Jacinthe try to get financing, but no one takes them seriously. The sole banker who seems open to it is Réjean Tremblay, but only to get closer to the beautiful Louise. PRESENT: Sgt. Lemay begins to investigate Clémence's disappearance. Meanwhile, Marco keeps dredging up the past, leading Charlotte to make an astonishing discovery at the manor.

1981: White Night perfume is a resounding success! But a supply problem is hurting cash flow, so the two friends have to sell some shares to Aidrian. PRESENT: After Charlotte's shocking discovery, the Héberts uncover a secret side to Loulou. Lucas, who idealized his mother, is extremely disappointed and begins searching for his father.

Louise is making up for lost youth by going from one party and lover to the next. It pains Aidrian to see her like this, but he remains a father figure to Charlotte and Marlène. PRESENT: Charlotte focuses on the Foundation and agrees to let Minister Évelyne Larue get involved. While questioning Bertrand, Lucas discover that his mother used to go out with Flavio Carignan, Marlène's former agent.

1988: When just starting out as a model, Marlène returns from Paris with her head in the clouds. Aidrian gets closer to Évelyne, who finally makes him forget about Louise. PRESENT: A special Nocturne board meeting is convened concerning the perfume iris... Just when he's about to give up hope, Lucas discovers a major new lead with respect to his father's identity.

1988: Louise takes her mother to New York for the weekend, for her birthday. While they're away, Charlotte and Marlène make the most of their freedom. PRESENT: Sgt. Lemay's investigation is making some headway. The noose is tightening around the Héberts. Having always protected Loulou's children, Aidrian has the feeling that things are getting away from him…

1988: After a revelation by Aidrian, Louise's trust in Flavio, Marlène's agent, is broken. Upset, Louise returns to Châteauguay and bumps into Marco. PRESENT: Lucas eagerly awaits the results of his paternity test. The Héberts are more determined than ever to find evidence linking Clémence's accomplice to Loulou's murder.
