Our Flag Means Death

As he adjusts to life without wealth, Stede struggles to find new purpose at the Republic for Pirates – until he meets a powerful new foe. Meanwhile, a heartbroken Blackbeard fills the Stede-less void in his heart with unrelenting daily raids, sparking concern amongst Izzy and the rest of the crew.

Aboard Zheng’s ship, Stede discovers new team building tactics, Black Pete reunites with a familiar face while battling his demons, and Olu captures the attention of a special someone. Frustrated by their captain’s volatility, Blackbeard’s crew decides to take drastic measures.

When Zheng unexpectedly takes hold of the Revenge, the reunited crew starts to plan their escape. Meanwhile, a preoccupied Stede resorts to desperate measures to bring back Blackbeard, who must confront a life-or-death decision of his own.

After his crew unanimously votes to banish him, Blackbeard encounters some dysfunctional old acquaintances onshore. Later, Stede and Blackbeard must decide how to move forward.

After a lukewarm reception upon his return, Blackbeard remains plagued by distrust aboard the Revenge – especially from an embittered Lucius. Meanwhile, Stede gains new confidence during his “captain lessons” with Izzy.

Facing accusations of becoming boring, the Revenge crew throws a party in honor of Calypso’s birthday… which is soon interrupted by a pirate seeking retribution. Meanwhile, Zheng proposes a “partnership” with Prince Ricky Barnes.

On a visit to the Republic of Pirates, Blackbeard sifts through plans for his future and his relationship with a newly infamous Stede. Then, as Jim schemes to reunite Oluwande with a hesitant Zheng, the world of piracy gets upended.

After watching the Republic of Pirates crumble, Stede and Zheng pursue Prince Ricky Barnes, the Revenge crew schemes to escape imprisonment, and Blackbeard plots a return to piracy… leading to triumph and a devastating loss.
