Life is going well for Carmen; she has a beautiful home, is happy and in love with husband John and her children seem settled. But she is still living a life of crime and knows she needs to get out of the business while she is ahead of the game. She just needs to complete one final job, but it is not going to be easy.

Reina is kidnapped and brutally beaten by a rival crime ring who want a piece of Carmen’s business. Shocked to discover that Lucien and Reina are in a series relationship, Carmen, decides to fight fire with fire and strikes a deal with Serbian criminal, Zarko to protect her business and Reina. Things do go as planned, but is there a mole Carmen’s organization? Boris and Koen share a secret.

The shipment of drugs is ‘lost’ and debts need to be paid – Rosales wants his money. As if problems with Rosales is not enough, Zarko sends Carmen a message declaring war. Berry is in hiding, and needing urgent help Carmen turns to Luther. Unaware of what has happened to Reina, Lucien locates a gun and decides to free her himself. Things are getting serious between Natalie and Storm.

John is questioned by the police on suspicion of a hit and run. He has an alibi, but why can’t he tell the police where the car is? Lucien is grieving for Reina and wonders if his mother could have done more to save her. Boris is nervous and wants to confess, but Koen refuses. Convinced there is a mole in her organization, Carmen grows suspicious of Storm.

Who is responsible for the failed drug shipment? The Mexican cartel visit Rosales looking for answers. After a confrontation with Berry, Carmen is forced to face the cartel without protection. The police start an operation that they hope will link Carmen’s involvement and ensure her arrest. Boris makes a confession that has consequences and Natalie makes a discovery and has to make a choice.

Escaping a police siege and near arrest with the help of Natalie and Luther, Carmen flees to a place that has old memories to try and make sense of what’s going on. One thing is clear, she now knows who the mole is and following a tense meeting she faces a big decision. Lucien, Natalie, Boris and Koen all have their own troubles and need protection, Luther promises Carmen he will help, but can he?

Following the attack on Storm, Carmen and Jim Leeflang’s deal is off the table and tensions reach fever pitch between Carmen and Natalie. Rosales is missing and Carmen must make peace with the Mexican drug cartel, she has two options, repay the debt or find the ‘missing’ cocaine. Out of prison, Speedy wants revenge, but at what cost? John reaches breaking point.

Carmen asks to meet Berry and Milo, wanting to put the past behind them and move forward together. Lucien returns home, but is not alone. Janica is addicted to drugs and asks Lucien to get her next fix, with severe consequences. Boris goes back to school and tries to make amends for his actions. Sandrina and Simon share some hurtful secrets and truths with Carmen. Is John ready to forgive?

Carmen’s biggest nightmare threatens to become true – losing her children. Her only option seems to be flee the country with the entire family, but will they all be willing to go? Jack holds Sandrina hostage and uses her as a bargaining tool with Carmen to find out what happened to Pamela. Can Carmen save Sandrina in time? Natalie feels all hope is lost and Boris tries to make an apology.
