Cleopatra challenges Julius Caesar that she will have a beautiful palace build in no time. She ropes in Edifis, one of the finest architects of Egypt to build the palace. When Edifis asks Asterix and Obelix to help him, they begin the work after consuming Getafix's magic potion. Later Cleopatra comes to Edifis' help when Caesar conspires against him. Will Edifis build Cleopatra's palace in time?
