Told in flashback, this epic romance is set against the turbulent backdrop of the Russian Revolution. Dr Zhivago's relationships reflect the political turmoil of the time. Though he's married, he begins a love affair with Lara but a bunch of selfish and cruel characters try to thwart the lovers.
