This week, Caithness born vet Shondie faces the most dramatic case of her career when an emergency case arrives at the practice. Leyla, a two-month-old Tamaskan puppy, has been brought in after being attacked by an older dog.

This week, it is seal pupping season and vet Shondie has her hands full when two rescued grey seal pups, Pudding and Buster, are brought into the practice for emergency veterinary care.

This week, vet Guy has an urgent case on his hands when Heidi the 11-month-old Chihuahua arrives at the practice under the weather and heavily pregnant.

Vet Shondie is on night duty when an emergency case arrives at the practice. The owner of greyhound Paddy, and saluki cross Lassy, thinks one of them might have swallowed a battery and there are fears that it could disintegrate in one of their stomachs.

Vet David is called out to a farm where a cow is in labour with twin calves.

When a three-week-old Aberdeen Angus calf arrives in the large animal wing of the practice, Caithness born vet Shondie faces something she has not encountered in over a decade of veterinary training and practice: The calf has been aggressively licked by his mum causing serious open wounds that require surgery.

At the large animal wing of the practice, vet Shondie has an emergency job on when farmer Jamie arrives with his pregnant Texel ewe. She had been pregnant with twins, but after losing one at Jamie's farm, the fight is on to save the remaining lamb and mum-to-be.

Vet Bridget and vet nurse Vicky have an emergency call out away from the practice after they receive a report of a prolapsed sheep spotted on a hill farm. But when the Highland weather turns, finding the sheep proves troublesome. Back at the practice, vet Guy has a mystery to resolve. Crofter Andrew has arrived with his six-year-old border collie Riley.

Vet William is on duty in the large animal wing of the practice and as the day draws to a close, local crofter Jim arrives with a lamb that has a suspected broken leg. Emergency treatment is required and then there is a nervous wait to see if she can make a fully recover.

At the large animal wing of the practice, senior vet Ken must enlist the help of young vet David as they deal with local farmer Arnott's miss-firing Suffolk tup. The 18-month-old ram doesn't seem to be getting as many sheep in lamb as expected.

Springtime is in full bloom in The Scottish Highlands. In Weydale, shepherdess Ailsa in in the middle of only her second lambing season. It's early evening and vet David has received a call to Ailsa's farm. A Zwartbles sheep is struggling to feed her two new-born lambs and David suspects a nasty infection may be causing the problem.
