While Paloma remains in the hospital in a coma, Nieves, Juan Cuesta's sister, moves into the building to live with the family. Roberto and Lucía have returned from their idyllic vacation in the Caribbean in a very angry mood.

Juan and Isabel begin to feel sexually attracted to each other. Juan confesses this attraction to his sister, although he does not give her any names, and Nieves, who is very possessive, is offended.

Vicenta gathers all the neighbors in her house to tell them that she is going to marry a Cuban man in exchange for money. The neighbors follow her example and five weddings are organized at the same time.

Lucia decides to open a cozy restaurant in the neighborhood and, much to her regret, all the neighbors will be part of the staff. Mauri also falls in love with Diego, Lucia's older brother, whom he will not stop flirting with.

A new boy at school hits and steals José Miguel's shoes. While Juan Cuesta suggests that he should talk to him, his aunt Nieves advises him otherwise. José Miguel follows her advice and the boy's father shows up at Juan Cuesta's house.

The school principal goes on a long weekend and leaves his canary to Juan to take care of it. The canary's chirping keeps the neighbors awake at night, and they meet to decide how to ''get rid'' of the bird.

A wandering fortune-teller jinxes Emilio and misfortunes follow one after the other in the building. Everyone is convinced that Emilio is a jinx, and to solve it Juan Cuesta holds an extraordinary neighbors' meeting.

A famous bullfighter is going to celebrate his wedding with a model in Lucia's restaurant to avoid press photographers. Lucia gives all the employees the day off and hires qualified personnel to make the celebration a success.

The facade of the building is graffitied by José Miguel. A social worker recommends Juan to spend more time with his son and he decides to leave the presidency. Vicenta becomes acting president.

The archdiocese has announced a living nativity scene contest and Juan Cuesta holds a special meeting to invite neighbors to participate. On the other hand, Lucía receives a huge Christmas basket as a gift from her father.

It's New Year's Eve: at the video store Paco, Alex and Pablo, with José Miguel as dj, prepare a ''macro party''. Belén has invited her parents to dinner to officially introduce them to Emilio.

Mauri needs a room for the child. Andrés convenes his first meeting as president in which the renovation is not approved. Even so, Mauri decides to go ahead, and Marisa, Vicenta and Concha prepare a plan to boycott the renovation.

Isabel, now fully installed in Juan Cuesta's house, and after getting Nieves to leave, sells her apartment. But the apartment has been bought by a real estate company that wants to take over the entire building.
