The 159th Great Yorkshire Show, is the hottest date in the Yorkshire's farming calendar and one of the UK's biggest agricultural shows. As farmers across the land prepare for the big day, help is needed from Peter and Julian to get their livestock into peak condition.

Over on young vet Katy's family farm a baby has arrived that everyone is talking about and nobody will forget in a hurry. A lamb has been born with five fully-formed legs! Will the extra limb cause problems? Will it need to be surgically removed? Katy will need advice from both Peter and Julian.

Julian rushes to an emergency; a ewe is struggling to deliver her lamb. Can Julian save both mum to be and her unborn baby? Before Julian can leave he realises there's another expectant mother who needs urgent help.

Julian dashes to an emergency; Vet Matt needs an experienced pair of hands. A young heifer, Bonnie, is struggling to give birth naturally but can mum and baby be saved?

Collette and her son Cailean are fanatical ferret fanciers and have 39 at their home! But their prize winning, champion ferret favourite, Teddy, has a problem. They've spotted a lump and, as ferrets are prone to cancer, Collette fears the worst. Can Peter save Teddy and get him back on the show circuit?

Peter is called to see elderly Highland cow, Agnes, who's in agony and lame, but it's not going to be easy to examine her when she's not keen on people and has one of the biggest sets of horns Peter has ever encountered! Can Peter relieve her pain and make life more bearable for this beautiful old girl or is it the end of the line for poor old Agnes?

Peter braves the elements and heads out to pregnancy test a small herd of young cows. But the farm is on high ground and with heavy snow settling on Yorkshire's hills will winter's icy grip prevent him from getting there?
