Nursing his wounds following Mags Bennett's death, U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) aims to find the cash and drugs that went missing in the wake of the Bennett family's demise. And as Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) looks to sell what he salvaged from the crime family's marijuana farm, he hatches a plan to take revenge against the imprisoned Dickie Bennett.

As he works to subvert Boyd Crowder's (Walton Goggins) plan to avenge the shooting of Ava Crowder , a still recuperating Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) is reunited with an old boss in the investigation of the murder of a U.S. Marshal who supervised clients of the Federal Witness Protection Program.

Raylan's face-off with a tyrannical Oxy dealer puts him on a collision course with the new head of the Dixie Mafia. Boyd fights to take back part of his family's empire, but his methods threaten to tear his new crew apart.

A daring prison escape puts Raylan on the trail of two of his old adversaries. Boyd confronts a traitor in his inner circle.

As Boyd (Walton Goggins) pushes back against a big city mobster's attempt to take over Harlan County, Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) uncovers a gruesome human organ sales scheme as he looks to stop Dewey Crowe's (Damon Harriman) desperate crime spree.

As the robbery and triple homicide at a Crowder-owned drug clinic places Boyd (Walton Goggins) on a collision course with his greedy rivals, the investigation leads Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) into a potentially deadly trap. When Winona (Natalie Zea) disappears, Raylan suspects her of stealing money from the evidence locker to finance her escape.

As his efforts to wrest control of crime in Harlan from the Crowder clan shift into high gear, mob boss Robert Quarles (guest star Neal McDonough) looks to bribe his way into power as he reaches back into Raylan's (Timothy Olyphant) past for someone to stop his investigation.

Winona's (Natalie Zea) estranged husband becomes a pawn in a deadly attempt to discredit Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) by framing him for murder and making him the target of an FBI investigation into corruption in the U.S. Marshals office. Meanwhile, Ellstin Limehouse (guest star Mykelti Williamson) becomes a sought after ally in the battle for control of Harlan County.

As Boyd (Walton Goggins) looks to avoid being framed for the bombing of the sheriff's car, Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) turns up the pressure on a mob boss who is looking to control Harlan County. Meanwhile, a holdup gone awry places Ava (Joelle Carter) in a position to control her own criminal enterprise in Harlan County.

Raylan struggles to keep Dickie Bennett in prison while contending with an increasingly violent and unpredictable Quarles. Boyd's Harlan election comes to a head.

Raylan squares off with a pair of merciless Detroit hitmen. The battle between Boyd and Quarles comes to a head.

While Raylan closes in on the ever-more-unpredictable Quarles, Boyd and Dickie Bennett team up in a last-ditch attempt to recover the fortune that Dickie's mother, Mags, left behind.

After a friend's murder, a raging Raylan goes after everyone he holds responsible for it, leading up to a final showdown in the Season 3 finale.
